He died around 1903. His wife was Sara Elizabeth Ham. they had kids William Alton McArthur, Ollie mae McArthur and Harvey McArthur. He was born in about 1877. He was from Rockfish, Cumberland,North carolina (this is a white family). </p> <p>They are in the 1900 census. I have had a really hard time finding Information he died very young.<br /> My great grandmother re-married to a Ham in Alabama and she moved to Calif and is buried there around 1945. Her father was R.J. Vaughan. I have had a time following this History. My grandfather was her son William Alton McArthur ( he was an Apprentice) he is also buried in Ontario, California.
