Hello. I am also looking for any Tucker family related to Rebecca Tucker who married Hugh Conn. I am unsure if Dickson Conn is the father of Hugh Conn? I have no idea who Rebecca's parents may be. Rebecca Tucker & Hugh Conn married on 15 Nov 1847 in Warren County, North Carolina. The bondsman was Kemp P. Alston. I don't know how a person became a bondsman and have yet to learn more about Kemp P. Alston, whether he was a friend or a relative of the bride or groom? Later census reports show them living in Lower Peach Tree, Alabama and did not marry any one else according to the Census. Rebecca became a widow after the 1880 U.S. Census and was living with her two sons. The 1890 Census did not survive the fire in Wash. D.C. and I am unsure when Rebecca passed. She does not show up on the 1900 Census. Her husband, Hugh Conn, dropped off the Census after 1870 and passed on after the 1870 since, Rebecca is reported as "widowed" Hugh Conn was a U.S. Civil War Soldier Records. Noted to have been a Prisoner of War. He served a period of 3 years during the Civil War as a Confederate (Rank: Private) soldier. If anyone knows any information about Rebecca Tucker ancestors or parents, including her husband, Hugh Conn, I would greatly appreciate the information. Thank you so very much. (PS I don't know if Gail or Billpris know of the Rebecca Tucker I am inquiring of?) Thank you, again! You can email me at klingbrine@aol.com

Hello,

Talton Basket is my 3rd Great Grandfather. I have been researching the family for a few years now. Based on my research, Pleasant Basket (or Baskett) not only was Talton's owner, but may have also been his father.

Members I am researching a man named Talton Basket (or Baskett) born around 1816, listed as Race "Black", possibly a slave belonging to Pleasant Baskett. Talton's wife was listed as Maranda (last name may have been Moore). Anyone seen any history on either Talton or Maranda ?
