<description>&#60;p&#62;I am looking for McKinney family genealogy, specifically for information on James McKinney (b. 1853) who settled in Cane River, Yancey County. He married Sarah Jane Gibbs (possibly Cherokee) and died in Yancey County in 1912. His daughter, Maude, (1889) married my great grandfather, George Yancey Hall who was from Spruce Pine. I am also trying to find out if the McKinneys were somehow related to Scotty Wiseman as Scotty and Lula Belle would come to my great grandfather's place and pick and sing all day long when in from Chicago and after they retired (George Yancey was a banjo picker of some local fame). I do not think Wiseman was related to the Hall side but he could have known my ggfather from their Spruce Pine days.
