Looking for photocopies of portraits and pictures of the various family lines of Capt. John William Stone, Sr. of Franklin county and of his children and grandchildren that moved into old Moore now Lee county. That would be Samuel Hatton Stone and his wife Priscilla Hight and his brother Lemuel Walker Stone and his wife, Catherine Campbell. I am also looking for copies of the Hight families that lived next to Shallow Well Church in Lee county, Jonathan and Nathan Hight. Stone women married into the Holders, Sloans, Parrish, Norris, Calcutt, Blalock, and Harrington families just to mention a few. If anyone has ties to these Stones and have photo-copies of their families and grandparents and such and would like to have them published in the Stone family book please e-mail the photos to me and or mail them
to Bill Jones; 338 Pyrant Rd.; Sanford, North Carolina 27330 or e-mail at
    .... cheap_papa3000@yahoo.com ..... off the forum....
please label your photos as to who is who in each..... please do not slow-mail original photos to me for they cannot be returned... The most recent family heads in old Moore now Lee county were two brothers, James D. Stone and Archibald Stone, sons of Samuel Hatton Stone. Samuel was one of ten children born to John B. Stone, Sr. and
his wife Sarah "Sally" Walker-Stone of Franklin county.
James D. Stone married Judy Parrish and the youngest of the six children Archibald married Jane Buchanan-Stone. Their roots tie into the "Lick Creek" area of old Moore now Lee county near the Cape Fear River and have many great grandchildren still living in that area. Again thanks for any elp you can give.....
